So I haven't been posting on this blog at all ... since .... uh march? Reason being my complete lack of direction and initiative. Well I still have no direction but a bit more initiative so I'm gonna try to get this thing going. Ever since my writing 'drive' has returned I've been discussing so many topics with myself in my head [*cough cough*or possibly out loud but I don't want you to think I'm crazy... ;)] and I think it's time I shared some of it with the world. It's just no fun to constantly write on my other blog that is private and nobody can see ... so I'd rather write on this one which nobody WILL see hehe [a distinct difference I tell you] while I sit here writing posts that would probably change your life [or not] if only you knew they existed while laughing about that very fact. So here we go... since I have no inspiration I'm just going to start this off with a post I wrote initially for my other blog but then decided it was PG13 and could be released to the public. [gosh this makes it seem as if I'm a pedophile or something... just so you know - none of my posts EVER contain sexual content, I was just trying to be funny ;) ]
Here ya go... enjoy
So I was reading through the answers of some of my 'classmates' for the week one project of my online government class for some inspiration. I find it interesting that their answers rarely ever answer the question or rather rarely ever answer the question in a way that is both correct and more than just common sense. The same thing occurs in a lot of their discussion posts on the role of government. I can tell they thought about the question, but when they start discussing and sharing opinions they stray almost immediately from the subject or sometimes even give false information. I don't blame them though. It's not their fault they grew up in a country in which pretty much EVERYONE thinks they know what they're doing, despite it being wrong most of the time. They don't go deep enough. They think based off of principals that are neither true nor their own - only mindless propaganda from who knows what source. Needless to say I didn't get any help from reading through their answers which blatantly displayed a lack of research and thinking. I'm glad I'm not one of those people. A couple days ago I was frustrated that what I was told would only be an hours' worth of work ended up being 2 hours of tedious research. And though I'm not learning much because I'm trying to cut down on time (if I tried to memorize this sh.. it would add a couple more hours to my work time- I'll probably end up going back to take notes on my own research, because quite frankly none of the stuff we're given in the class actually provides the answers) besides it's hard to remember what things congress can do and what things the president can do. One thing I've realized though is that the vice president kind of has a sucky job - when you skim through the constitution you can only find three things he gets to do: Be the president of the senate, be a tiebreaker for the senate, replace the prez if he dies.
Hm...
Oh! Lately I've been obsessing over the TV show House. I've watched the first 5 episodes of the 4th season on hulu.com and am in the process of watching the third season right now although I find the 3rd season much more entertaining... the cases/patients are more interesting, the team is more interesting, House appears to be more witty... overall I like the plots better too. They're more funny and more engaging. Season three, or the first couple episodes that I've watched so far, aren't nearly as amusing or entertaining and a bit slow at times. I wonder if they switched writers or something. Maybe management changed.... who knows?
That's it for now :) but I still have lots more unnecessary info to waste your time with.... so it def. won't be the last you hear from me...
